Christmas Day Crash Kills Three, Injures Children

A tragic Christmas Day collision resulted in three fatalities and left two children in critical condition following a violent head-on crash, as shared by Pennsylvania State Police on December 25th. The incident occurred on SR 150 (North Eagle Valley Road) near Swartz Hollow Road in Howard Township around 2:26 p.m. A 2009 Pontiac G6 and a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder traveling in opposite directions both veered over the center line, leading to the fatal collision in Centre County. The Pontiac's driver and two passengers lost their lives, and two other passengers – identified as juveniles – were airlifted with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan Pathfinder was taken for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Both vehicles deployed front airbags and suffered heavy front-end damage. The individuals involved have not been publicly named pending notification of their next of kin. Those with information about the crash are urged to contact PSP Rockview at 814-355-7545. The response to the scene involved multiple organizations including the Howard Fire Department, Pleasant Gap EMS, Bellefonte EMS, Blanchard EMS, Mount Nittany Paramedics, STAT MedEvac, Life Flight, and Rich’s Towing.
