CHP: Santa Cruz woman seriously injured in Santa Cruz Mountains crash
California Highway Patrol Santa Cruz says heavy delays were caused in the Santa Cruz Mountains after a solo vehicle crash Friday morning that resulted in major injuries.According to CHP, the crash happened on northbound Highway 17 north of Jarvis Road. The vehicle went off the roadway, prompting an investigation at the scene.CHP said the driver, a 52-year-old woman from Santa Cruz, suffered major injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital. Authorities said DUI was not a factor.In an update posted at 12:11 p.m., CHP Santa Cruz said the scene had been cleared and the involved vehicle was on a tow truck.
