Child rescued after two killed in southern Colorado crash

First responders arrived to a deadly vehicle crash involving a hurt child after it rolled off Highway 160 in La Plata County.The Upper Pine River Fire Protection District first responded to the rollover highway crash just after noon on Saturday, May 2. Officials said the crash involved one vehicle.Two adults were found dead and a 5-year-old girl was found alive and transported to a hospital with injuries. Upper Pine River Fire Chief Bruce Evans said the crash may have happened as early as Thursday night, April 30.The child has been released from the hospital.The two who died have been identified as 25-year-old Devante Griffin, the driver, and 24-year-old passenger Klariza Tarango. Both were from Farmington.Evans said nearby residents who contacted law enforcement were aware of the crash but noticed the vehicle was still there on Saturday.
