Child killed in collision between SUV and work van in Taunton
A tragic incident occurred over the weekend as a young child lost her life in a collision between a work van and an SUV, with her mother and older sister also sustaining injuries. Taking place on Broadway in Taunton, the collision involved a blue Toyota Rav 4 and a white Chevy van. Authorities believe the Rav 4 veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the van, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Rav 4, a 25-year-old woman, was hospitalized in stable condition, along with her children who were in the vehicle. The almost 2-year-old child did not survive the crash, while her 5-year-old sister was transported to a trauma center out of state and is in stable condition. Fortunately, the four men in the van were unharmed. Investigations into the incident are ongoing to determine the cause of the tragic crash.
