
Child in Maine killed in hit and run collision
A tragic hit-and-run collision in Albion resulted in the death of one child, with another child and an adult sustaining injuries. The incident involved a 44-year-old Albion resident named Benjamin Lancaster who was arrested for leaving the scene after hitting the victims. Maine State Police are handling the case, which took place on Friday evening near 60 Hussey Hill Road. The injured were rushed to the hospital via LifeFlight, with the adult now in stable condition but the child in critical condition as of Sunday morning. Lancaster is currently detained in Kennebec County Jail on various charges. Law enforcement is seeking assistance from the public and urging individuals with video footage showing a white 2016 Hyundai Veloster in the vicinity of Hussey Hill Road between 5:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Friday to reach out to Maine State Police Sgt.
