Child dies in hospital following icy Wisconsin accident
A tragic accident in western Wisconsin claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy and left a 27-year-old seriously injured on Wednesday morning. The incident, which took place on County Road A, involved a van driven by the woman, who lost control on an icy curve and collided with another vehicle. She sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized, while the young boy, also wearing a seat belt, was critically injured and sadly passed away in the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and has since been released. This marks the 10th traffic fatality in St. Croix County, with the current condition of the woman remaining unknown.
