Chauvin man killed in car crash
TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man was killed in a car crash in Terrebonne Parish Wednesday, March 25. According to the Louisiana State Police, 58-year-old Aljean Ledet, of Chauvin, was killed in the crash. LSP officials said a 2006 Pontiac G6 was traveling north on Highway 56 at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Ledet, was also traveling north ahead of the Pontiac. The Pontiac failed to slow down and struck the rear of the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet then went off the road and overturned. Ledet, who was unrestrained, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the Pontiac was also unrestrained, sustained serious injuries, and was transported to an out-of-area hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
