Car rolls into Scotia home; two hospitalized
A car rolled over twice and slammed into a home’s lawn in the village of Scotia late Monday night, sending two people to the hospital with minor injuries and leaving investigators looking at speed as a likely factor. The crash was reported at about 9:19 p.m. May 25, 2026, in front of a house on Fifth St., initially described as a single-car accident possibly involving a vehicle going into a home. Responders arrived within four minutes and found a car on its roof on the lawn at Fifth St. after it appeared to have rolled twice and hit the house. Two people had already gotten out of the vehicle on their own and were walking around when crews arrived. Both were treated and transported with minor injuries. The home sustained very minor damage. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but speed is believed to have played a big part. No alcohol or drugs are suspected. The vehicle was removed by a local towing company.
