Car leveled in serious suburban crash
NORTH BARRINGTON, Ill. — Three people were injured, one critically, after a head-on crash which leveled a Subaru Thursday in North Barrington., A Ford van was traveling northbound on Route 59, south of Golfview Drive, at around 11:15 a.m. when it crossed the center line for unknown reasons. The van collided head-on with a white Subaru. A passenger in the Subaru was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Both drivers were stabilized and transported to area hospitals. SkyCam9 over the scene saw an ambulance drive away at around 12:09 p.m. The Subaru sustained extreme damage with the roof completely gone. Route 59 remains closed between Miller Road and Signal Hill for the next few hours.
