Car crashes into people in Hollywood just before LAPD accident nearby
In Hollywood on Sunday afternoon, a vehicle veered onto a sidewalk and hit multiple pedestrians near Cahuenga and Sunset boulevards. Around the same time, there was another accident involving a police car just a block away. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived shortly after the incident was reported, confirming that at least two individuals were hit and hospitalized. Shortly after the pedestrian collision, a separate crash occurred involving a Los Angeles Police Department vehicle and a civilian car at Sunset Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue. Fortunately, injuries were minor, with one person experiencing chest pain. While fire officials stress that the two incidents are not connected, police at the scene shared with KTLA photographer Nelson Castillo that they believe a single hit-and-run driver caused both accidents before fleeing the scene. Video evidence shows the airbags deployed in the LAPD vehicle. Luis Zuniga contributed to this report.
