Car crashes into building in Wynantskill

WYNANTSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An investigation is currently underway after a car crashed into a building in Wynantskill early Saturday morning, according to the Wynantskill Fire Department. The incident reportedly occurred on the 300 block of Peck Road. North Greenbush police were dispatched to the scene just before 3:30 a.m. As officers responded, a 911 caller reported seeing two men get out of the car and flee from the scene on foot. Upon arrival, officers searched the area but said they were unable to locate the two suspects. Further investigation also reportedly found that the car crashed into a bedroom wall. The room had been occupied by a child at the time of the incident but they were not injured, police said. "This was, without a doubt, quite a traumatic experience for everyone in that residence and we are working to bring the case to a quick resolution," police chief David Keevern said. "We're beyond grateful that nobody was injured and thank our emergency services partners that assisted that morning."
