Butler County officials clarify information regarding status of victim in crash between car, motorcycle

Butler County officials are clarifying information released Friday by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.The Butler County Sheriff's Office says the coroner incorrectly identified a victim of a motorcycle crash as being connected to a crash in Butler County.Friday morning, the HCCO said David Harris, 69, of Williamsburg, Ohio, had died in a crash that happened Tuesday on Hamilton Richmond Road and Beissinger Road in Hanover Township.Harris did die as a result of a motorcycle accident, but in a Brown County crash on Wednesday.The BCSO referred to "the victim" when issuing the clarifying information to WLWT, but did not say if the victim was still alive and, if so, what condition they were in.Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a crash occurred between a car and a motorcycle, Butler County dispatchers say.One person was taken to the hospital by helicopter. Another person was checked by medics at the scene and was later cleared.WLWT is working to learn more information about the Butler County crash.
