Business in Arts District recovering after car smashes into wine bar

The Wine Garden in the Arts District of Las Vegas recently faced significant challenges when a car crashed into their wine bar, causing nearly $50,000 in damages. Thankfully, the establishment has since reopened after being closed for two weeks. An employee stated that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol, but had run a red light and collided with another vehicle, leading to the impact on the storefront. In light of recent incidents in the area, including break-ins and vandalism, The Wine Garden and neighboring business, Barter Beer Mall, are taking proactive measures to enhance safety. The Wine Garden is looking into installing bollards and supports additional one-way signage, while Barter Beer Mall plans to implement a bollard-style fence and widen the sidewalk to improve protection for staff and customers. Despite the consideration for red light cameras, the proposed Senate Bill 415, which addressed this issue, did not pass through the Senate Growth and Infrastructure Committee.
