Burglary at Greg Biffle's Home Following Plane Crash

Burglars allegedly took $30,000 in cash from the residence of NASCAR icon Greg Biffle shortly after he and six others lost their lives in a plane crash in Statesville. The theft occurred at Biffle's estate on Doolie Road on Jan. 8, as stated in a police report. The incident report mentioned the disappearance of the cash and a backpack from the home. Biffle, along with his wife Cristina and two of their children, was one of the victims of the tragic plane crash that occurred on Dec. 18 at Statesville Regional Airport. Authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the theft. A public memorial event to honor the crash victims is planned for Friday at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, with doors opening at 10 a.m. and the service starting at 11.
