Buggy driver dies after crash in Elkhart County
There is new information about a buggy crash in Elkhart County. The driver of the buggy hit by a pick-up truck has died. 27-year-old Lyle Nisley was airlifted from the scene with severe head trauma and later died at the hospital. This crash happened on State Road 13, north of County Road 34, just after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. According to investigators, the driver of a RAM truck said he didn't see the buggy in front of him until he was too close to stop. Deputies say the driver tried to avoid the buggy, but an oncoming vehicle kept him from leaving the lane. The driver of the truck was cited for improper passing.
