Bird's Nest Studio Co-Owner Killed in Accident, Classes Suspended
The Bird’s Nest aerial arts studio has decided to halt all classes until further notice after a tragic incident that resulted in the loss of one of its co-owners. Co-owner Kimberly Armella shared in a Facebook post that the accident happened during a rigging adjustment with a lift, leading to the passing of co-owner Ashli Gilmour and injuries to studio member Katie Loewen. Armella mentioned that the studio will remain closed for the time being and asked for support for those affected by the tragedy. She also expressed plans to keep the community informed about the studio’s future.
