Bike show held to support biker injured in fatal Tyler motorcycle crash

TYLER, Texas (KETK) - Friends of Dakota Hunter, who died in a crash on March 1, held a bike show on Saturday to raise money for Dakota's friend Ethan, who was injured in the crash. The fundraiser was held on Old Jacksonville Highway near 1836 Texas Kitchen and attendees shared stories of Dakota while asking drivers to stay aware of motorcycles on the road. "We just kind of wanted to do something to help remember bikers," family friend Savannah Ihrer said. "To get people to be more aware that bikers are on the road all the time and just to be more of a lookout for bikers then what people usually are." Dakota and Ethan's motorcycles crashed when an SUV was turning to enter a Pizza Hut parking lot in the 7900 block of South Broadway Avenue, according to Tyler PD. Funds from Saturday's event will be donated to Dakota's family and Ethan's recovery costs.
