Beloved Muskegon Community College music director dies in snowmobiling accident

Daniel Meyers, the highly respected Music Director at Muskegon Community College, tragically passed away in a snowmobiling accident over the weekend. Meyers and another individual were reported missing while snowmobiling in Lake County, and a search led to their discovery in 6 feet of water after their snowmobiles went through the ice. President John Selmon praised Meyers's dedication to student success during his 15 years at the college, highlighting his talent, patience, and commitment to his craft. Meyers, who was a husband and father of three, contributed significantly to the completion of the college's new ensemble room and had a distinguished career as an educator, conductor, and trumpeter.
