Arrest made in fatal log truck crash in Burke County
An individual has been arrested in connection with a fatal accident that occurred in Burke County. Walter Leeks has been charged with Homicide by Vehicle following a crash that took place on Highway 24 in January. The incident unfolded when a logging truck driven by Leeks struck a vehicle ahead of it, leading to a collision involving a third vehicle driven by Linda Dixon, who tragically lost her life in the crash. Leeks is currently in custody at the Burke County Jail.
