Arrest made in deadly Kings County collision
A 21-year-old man from Hesperia was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol after a tragic accident on Interstate 5 in Kings County. The young man, identified as Josue Gutierrez Garcia, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban in the wrong direction on the highway when he collided with a Chevrolet Malibu, resulting in the death of a man from Bakersfield. Another driver involved in the accident was unharmed, while the one in the Suburban suffered minor injuries and was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
