Arrest for drugged driving in vintage car accident on Long Pond Road

A man in Rochester, aged 62, was arrested after being involved in a two-car collision on Long Pond Road. In the afternoon of October 18, Greece officers responded to the 700 block of Long Pond Road following reports of the crash. At the scene, the man was discovered unconscious in a silver 1965 Shelby Cobra. CPR was initiated by officers and bystanders until further medical assistance arrived. The man regained consciousness only after receiving Narcan, indicating a potential opioid overdose. Authorities found a red container with a white powder in the man's possession, which later tested positive for fentanyl and cocaine. The substance was collected as evidence. Three out of four occupants from the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Rochester General Hospital before being discharged. Douglas Weatherhog, of Fairport, was arrested after his recovery and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, unsafe lane change, and illegal possession of a controlled substance. He was given appearance tickets for Greece Town Court.
