Appomattox crash injures one
An overturned vehicle was involved in an accident on May 8, according to the Concord Volunteer Fire Department. Fortunately, all individuals had safely left the vehicle before responders arrived. The incident led to the closure of Stonewall Road, with traffic being redirected until the area was cleared. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was transported to the hospital. Stonewall Road reopened to one lane once the scene was fully cleared later in the day. Fire officials stayed on site until the vehicle was successfully removed.
