9-year-old dies after accident between scooter, golf cart in St. George
A 9-year-old who was critically injured in a crash between a scooter and a golf cart in St. George last week has died. The accident happened around 2:45 p.m. on May 4 at the intersection of 2780 East and Flycatcher Drive. The victim was riding a scooter and was hit by a 12-year-old driving a golf cart. The 9-year-old was airlifted to a hospital in Las Vegas in very critical condition. The 12-year-old driving the golf cart was not injured. On Monday, St. George Police confirmed that he passed away from his injuries on Friday. The deceased victim was identified as Steven Yu.
