82-year-old Le Sueur man dies in UTV accident, sheriff reports
An 82-year-old man sadly lost his life in a UTV accident on Tuesday afternoon in southern Minnesota. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in Sharon Township, situated approximately 60 miles southwest of Minneapolis. The victim, a resident of Le Sueur, was driving an eastbound side-by-side on Le Sueur Creek Road when it collided with a southbound sedan on County Road 15. Sheriff Brett Mason reported that the man was thrown from the side-by-side and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Fortunately, the 16-year-old girl driving the sedan was unharmed. The Sheriff's office, in collaboration with the Minnesota State Patrol, is conducting an investigation into the accident. According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, as of Tuesday, the state has sadly experienced 184 traffic fatalities.
