8-year-old child dies in crash in northwest Houston, HCSO says
HOUSTON (CW39) — An 8-year-old died and two were injured in a car crash near a construction zone in northwest Houston, Harris County authorities said. The crash happened on Sunday evening on West Little York near Commerce Creek Drive, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that a single vehicle crashed in a construction zone. The child was taken to the hospital but was later declared dead. As of 8:30 p.m. Sunday, West Little York is shut down as crews work at the scene.
