69-year-old Tariffville man dies after Granby motorcycle crash: Police

GRANBY, Conn. (WTNH) — A 69-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on Granville Road over the weekend, the Granby Police Department announced Monday. At around 5:42 p.m. Sunday, police responded to Granville Road (Route 189) at the intersection of Peck Orchard Road for a reported crash between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. Officers arrived to find a severely injured motorcyclist, police said. The motorcyclist, Mark Floryan of Tariffville, was transported by LIFE STAR to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The roadway was closed during the incident while investigators from the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad processed the scene, and has since been reopened. The operator of the second vehicle, a 50-year-old man from Granby, was uninjured and remained on scene, police said.
