4 victims in fatal New Mexico airplane crash identified

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The four crew members who were killed in small aircraft crash in Lincoln County, New Mexico, have been identified by the two companies who operated the flight. According to Trans Aero MedEvac and partner Generation Jets, the crew members who were killed were:– Keelan Clark, Generation Jets pilot– Ali Kawsara, Generation Jets pilot– Sarah Clark, Trans Aero MedEvac flight nurse– Jamie Novick, Trans Aero MedEvac flight nurse The two companies said that they were sharing additional confirmed details regarding the crash in the early morning hours of May 14 that killed four people in the Capitan Mountains region of New Mexico. According to the companies, the fixed-wing aircraft involved in the accident was operated by Generation Jets, a longtime partner of Trans Aero MedEvac in southeast New Mexico. The aircraft was traveling from Roswell to Sierra Blanca Regional Airport for a medical transport mission when the crash occurred, they said. "Today, both organizations continue to mourn the loss of four extraordinary crew members. Those we lost were more than coworkers. They were family, caregivers, aviators, teammates, and friends who dedicated their lives to serving others with compassion, professionalism, and courage," the two companies said in a joint media release. Matt Goertz, vice president of Trans Aero MedEvac, said: “Our hearts remain with the families and loved ones navigating an unimaginable loss. Sarah and Jamie embodied what it means to care for others. Their commitment to their patients and their teammates will never be forgotten, and their impact will continue to live on within our organization and the communities they served.” Monty Renfro, president and CEO of Generation Jets, added: “This tragedy has deeply affected every member of the Generation Jets family. Keelan and Ali’s professionalism and dedication will never be forgotten.” Both organizations continue to cooperate fully with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and local authorities as the investigation remains ongoing, they said. "We extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders, fire crews, search and rescue teams, law enforcement agencies, and all personnel who responded to the scene and continue working the ongoing fire under extremely difficult conditions. We also thank the Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management, Lincoln County agencies, U.S. Forest Service personnel, and all partner agencies supporting the ongoing response efforts," the companies said. They also asked for "continued prayers, compassion and privacy for the families, coworkers and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy."
