31-year-old woman dies after being struck by vehicle in south Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. — A 31-year-old woman has died following a collision with a vehicle near 71st and South Granite Avenue, according to the Tulsa Police Department. Officers responded to the scene of the collision July 16 around 10:15 p.m. According to TPD, the initial investigation suggests the driver struck the woman while she was attempting to cross 71st outside of a crosswalk in a dimly lit area. Officials said the driver stayed at the scene along with another person who witnessed the incident. The victim was taken to the hospital where she later died. TPD said the investigation is still ongoing, but no charges are expected at this time.
