23-year-old man killed in New Haven industrial accident, officials say
NEW HAVEN — A man was killed in an industrial accident on Middletown Avenue on Thursday afternoon, an official says. New Haven Fire Chief Daniel Coughlin said crews responded to the 100 block of Middletown Avenue at about 1 p.m. for a report of an industrial accident. Coughlin said crews arrived to find a 23-year-old man had been pulled into a conveyor belt. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Coughlin. New Haven police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident.
