22-year-old woman killed in overturn crash in North Wilkesboro, troopers say
NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman has died following a crash early Saturday morning, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. On Saturday at around 06:28 a.m., the NCSHP responded to and investigated a fatal crash in Wilkes County on Dav Road near J Harrold Drive. A 2005 Honda Element was traveling West on Dav Road when it ran off the road to the right, struck a culvert and overturned. The driver was then ejected and struck a mailbox. The driver, Kailey Marie Everette, 22, of North Wilkesboro, died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, while impairment is not. No charges will be filed in this case.
