20-year-old woman arrested after deadly hit-and-run crash in Orange County
A 20-year-old woman was arrested five days after a deadly hit-and-run crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.Julia Blackwell, of Christmas, hit a 56-year-old man with her car early Saturday morning in a wooded area northeast of State Road 520 and south of State Road 50, according to FHP.Troopers said Blackwell then continued driving through the woods before getting stuck in the mud. FHP said Blackwell then ran away. Her car, a 2020 GMC Sierra, was taken into evidence.Blackwell is charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
