2 transported after vehicle accident on I-79 ramp
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two people were transported by ambulance from the scene of a vehicle accident in Bridgeport Tuesday morning. According to the Harrison County 911 log, crews were alerted to an accident on Johnson Avenue at 11:13 a.m. The log states that this was a two vehicle accident at the ramp of Interstate 79 south near the Meadowbrook Mall. Two people were transported for further treatment from the scene. Photos taken by a 12 News reporter show one car flipped onto its side. Harrison County 911 officials did not have any additional information as of publication. The West Virginia 511 website shows a traffic backup on Johnson Avenue, but does not show any closed lanes. The Bridgeport Police Department, the Bridgeport Fire Department, Anmoore EMS and Harrison County EMS responded to this incident.
