2 men seriously hurt after Jeep flies 50 feet off freeway in wild Pasadena crash
Two men were taken to a hospital in serious condition after a wild crash in Pasadena where a Jeep flew off a freeway. Preliminary information later confirmed by the California Highway Patrol indicates the crash occurred on the westbound span of the 210 Freeway just west of Sierra Madre Villa Avenue around 11:55 p.m. Saturday. The Jeep, according to video from the scene obtained by KTLA, careened off the freeway and landed roughly 50 feet below in a storm drain. The two occupants were trapped and had to be freed by first responders before being rushed to the hospital, authorities confirmed. One was seen on video being loaded into an ambulance. It is believed that the Jeep was the only vehicle involved. The cause of the crash is under investigation; it was not determined right away whether impairment or speed were factors.
