2 found dead with gunshot wounds after car crashes into home in Pittsylvania Co.: Sheriff

Two people were found dead with gunshot wounds on Saturday after a car crashed into a home in Pittsylvania County, according to first responders. Around 12:50 p.m., the Pittsylvania County 911 Center received notification of a crash in the 12,000 block of East Gretna Road in Gretna. When first responders arrived, they reported finding that a vehicle had crashed into a residence. "While entering the residence to search for any potentially injured occupants, emergency personnel discovered circumstances that prompted an immediate request for law enforcement response," said Pittsylvania County Sheriff Mike Taylor. According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office, first responders found a 34-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both residents of the home, dead with apparent gunshot wounds. Their identities have not been released.
