2 extricated from overturned vehicle crash in Napa
(KRON) -- Two people were hospitalized after their vehicle crashed and rolled over in Napa Friday afternoon, according to Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit. Cal Fire said California Highway Patrol officers, American Medical Rescue personnel, and Napa Fire Department crews responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. to the incident at Silverado Trail, just south of Soda Canyon Road. "Two patients had to be extricated and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital," said Cal Fire in a social media post detailing the incident. It is not clear yet what led to the collision or if driving under the influence played a role. Authorities are using this incident as an opportunity to remind drivers to wear their seatbelts, and avoid distractions and speeding. "Rollover crashes can occur in a moment, but safe driving habits help prevent tragedies," added Cal Fire.
