18-year-old minibike driver killed in crash with SUV on Lake Trafford Rd in Collier County
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash involving a minibike that happened on Lake Trafford Road in Collier County Sunday evening.According to FHP, an 18-year-old man was driving north on Palm Drive on a gas-powered minibike, approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Lake Trafford Road.A 65-year-old woman in an SUV was going east on Lake Trafford Road when the minibike entered her direct path, FHP says. The front of her vehicle collided with the bike.Post-collision, troopers say, the 18-year-old became separated from his bike.
