16-year-old killed in a Calhoun County single-vehicle crash
A 16-year-old was injured and killed in a single-vehicle crash in Calhoun County. The teen wasn't wearing their seatbelt when their 2007 Jeep Cherokee left the road, hit an embankment and turned over. The collision threw the teen from the car, and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment. They later succumbed to their injuries. The 16-year-old crashed on Vineyard Road near Lowimoore Road, about six miles east of Ohatchee. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
