1 person killed, another injured in Carter County motorcycle accident.
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Highway 19E in Carter County on Saturday night, resulting in one individual losing their life and another sustaining injuries, as detailed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). According to the THP's crash report, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading northbound on Highway 19E toward JD Whitehead Rd. at approximately 9:12 p.m. on Saturday when it veered off the road to the right and collided with a guardrail. The report mentions that the motorcycle, labeled as "Vehicle 1," came to a stop on the right shoulder of the road without control after the crash. The injured motorcycle driver, a 52-year-old man, was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. Unfortunately, the passenger on the motorcycle, identified as Heather Stewart, 42, lost her life in the accident. THP indicated that she was also wearing a helmet during the crash.
