1 person critically hurt, Vehicle collides with tree in Cass County

In Cass County, Indiana, a woman was flown by a medical helicopter to a hospital after her vehicle crashed into a tree on Wednesday morning. The incident took place on Clifton Avenue when a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer slid off the road and hit a tree around 11:19 a.m. Authorities were alerted to the single-vehicle crash and quickly responded to the scene. The driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling southbound on Clifton Avenue, leading to the crash. Firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle and she was taken to a helipad at Parview Logansport for airlift to a hospital in Fort Wayne. The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and anyone with information is urged to contact them at (574)-753-7800.
