1 killed in crash on US-41 in Nokomis: sheriff’s office
NOKOMIS, Fla. (WFLA) — One person was killed in a crash on US-41 in Nokomis on Sunday morning, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said. The crash occurred near the intersection of US-41/Tamiami Trail and Bayshore Road at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the crash was between a car and a motorcycle. The fast lanes on the northbound and southbound sides were both closed for over three hours, causing delays for drivers in the area. The Florida Highway Patrol is taking the lead on the investigation.
