1 killed, 3 others injured in single-vehicle crash in Bartholomew County

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. — One person was killed and three others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Bartholomew County on Tuesday. According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a portion of North County Road 325 West located near Lowell Road around 2:30 p.m. to investigate a crash. When BCSO personnel arrived at the scene, they located a crashed SUV. Deputies have confirmed that a 19-year-old man was killed in the crash. Three more individuals were taken to Indianapolis hospitals to have their injuries treated after the crash. Two of the living crash victims were hospitalized via ambulance. The other living victim was transported to a hospital via medical helicopter after crews extracted them from the SUV. The Bartholomew County crash reconstruction team is working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the crash. The Bartholomew County Coroner's Office is expected to identify the 19-year-old who was killed in the crash at a later date. BCSO did not specify the ages and sexes of the individuals injured in the crash. Their exact medical statuses are also currently unknown.
