1 fatality and 1 critical injury in East Bay accident
A tragic incident occurred in San Leandro on Saturday night involving a police pursuit that ended in a rollover crash. The collision resulted in one person losing their life and another being hospitalized with severe injuries. The crash occurred at 11:17 p.m. when the driver of a white Infiniti FX35 lost control, crashing into a parked car after attempting to negotiate a corner near the intersection of 136th and Bancroft avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol cited by KRON4 News. Due to the high speeds at which the car was being driven, officers chose to halt the ground pursuit, though a helicopter continued to track the suspect until the crash. Tragically, the passenger died at the crash site, while the driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition remains unknown.
