Young woman, 21, dies in Etowah County car accident
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, there was a fatal two-vehicle collision in Etowah County Thursday night. Elizabeth B. Barnes, 21, was fatally injured after her vehicle collided with the back of a tractor-trailer. Despite being taken to a hospital in Gadsden, she tragically passed away due to her injuries. The incident took place on U.S. 411 close to the 223 mile marker, just four miles north of Gadsden. ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is currently looking into the matter.
