Young Driver in Fatal Cheektowaga Collision
There was a tragic two-car collision involving a black Toyota Highlander and a white Scion on Thursday night in Cheektowaga. Police confirm that the Scion, driven by a 54-year-old woman who was the sole occupant, was involved in the crash on Union Road near the eastbound Kensington Expressway off-ramp. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The other vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, had two 15-year-old occupants who remained at the scene and were quickly located by authorities. The police are still investigating the cause of the accident, particularly focusing on the circumstances of an underage driver operating a vehicle without a license.
