Young Driver in Accident on Historic State Road

On June 12, The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reported a car accident involving a 17-year-old driver. The incident occurred on July 9 on Old Stage Road, where the driver lost control while navigating a sharp curve. The vehicle veered off onto the shoulder causing it to roll and land on its passenger side in a ditch across the road. Fortunately, the driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a medical facility by WinnMed ambulance. The car was deemed a total loss.
