Wrong-way driver leads to early morning collision on SPID, three people hurt
Three individuals were taken to the hospital following a collision caused by a driver going the wrong way on South Padre Island Drive in the early hours of the morning. Reports indicate that a small black car was traveling in the westbound lanes of the highway and crashed into a pickup truck near Paul Jones Avenue around 5:30 a.m. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle and two occupants in the pickup truck sustained injuries, all non-life-threatening.
