Worker killed in electrical accident in The Woodlands, deputies say
THE WOODLANDS, Texas (KIAH) -- A fatal electrical accident in The Woodlands has caused some power outages in the area, authorities said. The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on FM 2978 just north of Woodlands Parkway, where an industrial worker was electrocuted, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. The worker was declared dead at the scene. Recovery efforts are paused as crews wait for power to be safely shut off. The worker was on a ladder near a tree and some power lines. Under 100 people lost power when the accident happened, according to Entergy Texas. Deputies have blocked off FM 2978 to work the scene that will cause some delays.
