Worker dies from electric shock while working on road pavement
An incident in Gloucester County, Va., involving a roadwork accident resulted in a worker being electrocuted on the job. Virginia State Police have verified the accident, which occurred on Low Ground Road during road repavement work when a truck unloading asphalt made contact with power lines. Calvin West, a local resident, was present at the scene and described how he witnessed the worker being electrocuted. The worker was promptly taken to a nearby hospital and fortunately survived the accident. West also provided insight into his observation that the accident could possibly have been prevented, emphasizing the importance of safety measures when working in such areas.
