Originally from Waitsfield, Vermont, Curtis was a talented skier and a former member of the Dartmouth College ski team, achieving notable recognition for her skiing prowess. She graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in government and environmental studies and was working as a regulatory analyst for the California Public Utilities Commission in San Francisco.
