Woman taken to hospital after rollover crash, car totaled
A Hawkeye woman suffered serious injuries on June 2 after a single-vehicle rollover crash in rural Fayette County. According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched around 4:50 p.m. to the 210th Street near the intersection of T Avenue after receiving a 911 call reporting a rollover accident. Investigators say the 52-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on 210th Street when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road. The driver then lost control of her 2005 GMC Yukon, which entered the ditch, returned to the road, and rolled over. The driver was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The crash in under investigation.
